Glazed Chicken

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup margarine
12 chicken breast halves, skin removed

Combine flour and salt. Melt margarine. Dip each piece of chicken in margarine. Dredge in flour mixture. Place chicken in a 13x9x2 baking pan lined with foil. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. Spoon half of the glaze over chicken. Bake for 10 minutes. Spoon remaining glaze over chicken. Bake for 20 minutes, or until tender.

For glaze:

1 large onion, finely chopped
12 slices cooked bacon, diced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 (10.75-ounce) cans beef broth

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Glaze may be made ahead of time and reheated.
